The Defender Security MP9544 Solid Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer is designed to prevent forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass, and wood doors. Constructed of solid brass, the lock reinforcer plate comes in a brass finish, and all the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation.

The reinforcement plate is pre-punched for mounting and is designed to fit snugly on 1-3/4 inch thick doors. Measuring 3-7/8 inch wide by 4-1/2 inch tall, the plate accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors with a 2-1/8 inch bore size and a 2-3/8 inch backset from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is recessed for latch installation when the door latch area is damaged, allowing you to install the reinforcer and then insert the latch through the recessed area for proper mounting.

It's important to note that the door lock reinforcement plate is designed for 1-3/4 inch thick doors only, with a 2-1/8 inch bore hole through the door and a 2-3/8 inch backset from the edge of the door to the center of the bore holes. Before permanently installing the 3-7/8 inch wide by 4-1/2 inch tall door lock reinforcer with a 0.03 inch thickness, make sure to dry fit it and refer to the line art drawing to ensure it meets your specific needs.
